Melissa has a wonderful fresh, lemony scent. It's known to help with insomnia but the sedative effects come on slowly. It's known to help with shock and grief. Melissa is recommended to be used in small quantities since it is a powerful little oil. It can help with depression and it's emotionally uplifting. It has also been historically used for viral situations. Use in a low dilution and avoid using on children under 2.
